Welcome.

Psychotherapy for individuals, couples, and families who are navigating the effects of alcoholism and addiction.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I specialize in helping men, adult children of alcoholics, couples, and families heal.

Sessions are currently available online with in-person sessions available by request.

Whether you are struggling with addiction, grew up in a household with a loved one struggling, or are trying to keep your marriage from falling apart, you are not alone. We are all trying to recover from something.

Since the start of my career, my clients have primarily been men trying to support their recovery through psychotherapy. In the process of finding their footing in sobriety, alcohol was always a symptom of another larger problem. They’ve talked about the guilt/shame, feelings of inadequacy, perfectionism, fear, anger, depression, and their ability to provide financially for their families/wives but not being able to be connected to them emotionally. In the process, I have worked with their families and significant others to help everyone be on the same page.

Finding a new normal can be overwhelming. Change can feel uncomfortable.

Has “white knuckling” it ever really worked for you? It was always told to us that being strong is pushing down our feelings because showing emotion can be a sign of weakness when in reality the most courageous thing we can do for ourselves is to ask for help.

Take the leap, use strength and ask for help.

Hi, I'm Serina.

In my experience, I have come to believe we are emotional beings connected by our various relationships. Whether they are intimate, family, friends, or acquaintances, sometimes the relationship we have with ourselves can get in the way. If this resonates with you, I can help.

In my practice, I will help you work past your inner critic and work toward self-acceptance. We can find the courage to be present with uncomfortable emotions, express feelings, and manage stress to develop better coping skills for everyday life.

I utilize a number of client-centered and systemic approaches to tailor treatment unique to you and your goals. My background has shaped my compassionate, yet direct and goal-oriented style of therapy. I am committed to helping explore and expand upon the wisdom and insight you have within.

Let us try to feel comfortable and find wholeness in who we are. Let us build toward a more fulfilling life. I would love to help you get there.
